基于FPGA和USB3.0的高速数据通信实现

摘 要

USB作为当今众多电子产品接口之一,由于它具有即插即用和热插拔、高速度和价格低廉等优点,使其得到了大规模的应用。目前,电脑外设大多采用USB接口连接主机,主机上设置的USB2.0接口的数量和速度已不能满足用户的需求,为了解决这一矛盾,本课题设计了一个基于FPGA和USB3.0的高速数据通信。

本课题研究了面向FPGA的高速数据传输的实现思路和架构,提出了USB3.0接口高速传输数据的设想,对所需要解决的问题进行原理和技术途径进行研究。本课题采用FPGA芯片作为硬件控制器,设计一款基于USB3.0协议的高速通信架构。主要从硬件设计和软件设计来完成这个课题。其中,在硬件构成上,该USB3.0高速数据通信系统主要是由一片FPGA芯片和一片USB3.0接口芯片,外加PC机组成。USB3.0高速数据通信的软件设计部分主要包括EZ-USB FX3的固件程序,USB3.0的驱动程序和主机应用程序三部分。

abstract

As one of the many electronic product interfaces today, USB has been widely used due to its advantages of plug-and-play and hot plugging, high speed and low price. At present, most of the computer peripherals use the USB interface to connect to the host computer. The number and speed of the USB2.0 interface set on the host can no longer meet the needs of users. In order to solve this contradiction, this topic designed a high speed based on FPGA and USB3.0. data communication.

This topic studies the realization idea and architecture of high-speed data transmission for FPGA, and puts forward the idea of ​​high-speed data transmission of USB3.0 interface, and studies the principle and technical approach of the problem to be solved. This topic uses FPGA chip as hardware controller to design a high-speed communication architecture based on USB3.0 protocol. This topic is mainly done from hardware design and software design. Among them, in the hardware configuration, the USB3.0 high-speed data communication system is mainly composed of a piece of FPGA chip and a USB3.0 interface chip, plus a PC. The software design part of USB3.0 high-speed data communication mainly includes the firmware of EZ-USB FX3, the driver of USB3.0 and the host application.
